Management / Technical Team

Steve is an accomplished Senior Executive with more than 55 years of success spanning medical devices, power generation, manufacturing, and distribution.

His broad areas of expertise include manufacturing engineering, quality assurance, regulatory affairs, supply chain management, process improvements, and FDA compliance in design controls as well as production and process control and post market surveillance.

Scott has over 30 years of experience developing medical devices, and has a Bachelors of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering. Prior to National Cardiac, he provided consulting services to Invetech, Inc and Tandem Diabetes Care developing a next generation insulin pump. Scott was VP of engineering at Vesta Medical responsible for the development of the EcoRex pharmaceutical waste management system, which has been acquired by Carefusion. As Director of Engineering at American Immuno Tech he led development of the Neptune Surgical waste management system which was subsequently sold to Stryker Instruments.

Scott has over 45 patents in the fields of infusion pumping, microdermabrasion, and medical waste management.

Hugh has over 35 years of experience developing devices, the last 10 years of which have been exclusively focused on developing both internal and wearable medical patches, mostly using wireless communication. Aside from National Cardiac, he has provided solutions for many small companies in addition to larger organizations including Qualcomm, Philips, Mitel, TransInstruments, Bell & Howell, Advanced Micro Devices and West Health Institute. His BSC is in Engineering Science.

Hugh has designed with many types of analogue sensors, including ECG/EEG, pressure, optical, ultra-sonic and various position sensing devices. He specializes in innovative solutions, often driven by ultra-low power and energy harvesting requirements, and wireless communications.

Randall is a Medical Device Consultant and Quality Consultant specialized in setting up Quality Systems compliant with ISO 13485:2016. With degrees in Engineering, Computer Science, and Business Management, Randall has over 30 yeas experience developing medical devices.

Jonathan has 30+ years of system engineering, specializing in communication systems.

Previous employment included Qualcomm, Apple & Facebook where he built test automation frameworks.

Jerry Lee is a visionary Biotech Executive renowned for driving innovation in the biotechnology sector. His extensive leadership experience spans product development, successful market launches, and fostering collaborations that propel the industry forward. Jerry continues to shape the future of biotechnology with a relentless commitment to improving global well-being.


Board of Directors

Richard has had a long career in the energy business with an emphasis on the development and management of advanced technology in the production of oil, gas, shale oil and coal. He has experience in the medical device world with a company (he co-founded) that pioneered the development of equipment used in IVF.

John has over a 50 year history in the private equity space (including his family office Jelco Ventures, Inc.), with a major concentration in life sciences and healthcare services.

Frank practises corporate and commercial law in Toronto, Canada. He brings extensive experience in reorganizations, acquisitions, sales, financing, leasing, and land development. Frank is a founding member of the firm Capo Sgro LLP.
